Set and edit capitalization milestones
To capitalize a project for ASC 350-40 you need to set the Capitalization Start Date. Then to stop capitalizing, set the Capitalization End Date.
What’s capitalized: All work from the Capitalization Start Date through the Capitalization End Date will be counted as capitalized.
What’s Expensed: Work before the Start Date or after the End Date is expensed.
Here is how to set the start and end dates
-
Go to the ASC Project page
-
Select a project
-
Scroll to milestone section
-
Set the capitalization start date (month, year)
-
If capitalization has ended, set the capitalization end date
- When a project is still in development, leave capitalization end date blank
